Golang Job: Oracle Golang Developer

Open Systems Technologies Corporation is Software Engineer to join a new long term development project with the federal government. We are looking for entry level, mid, and senior resourcesto join our team in building out a network monitoring solution using the Oracle/ Federos Assure1 solution. We require US citizenship and will sponsor resources for Top Secret. Resources can join program and work, while interim Top Secret is being granted. Compensation is open and negotiable.

We prefer candidates who have some experience in a programming language such as Golang or PERL. Golang is very useful for writing light-weight microservices. DevOps engineers with some developer skill may also be acceptable.

All candidates will be trained (2 days of online video) and 5 days of on-prem instructor training. Work will be 100 percent remote. Must be available for work in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

Responsibilities

Knowledge and understanding of SDN (Software Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Function Virtualization) are beneficial. An OSS background or knowledge of telco systems is beneficial.

Example of Duties (non-exhaustive):

• Develop and deploy microservices in customer environment
• Undertake other project assignments and tasks as assigned by Project Manager
• Attend daily scrum calls where required
• Analyze & resolve any issues that arise
• Identify root cause and implement corrective action
• Ability to read custom code and make significant changes
• Schedule and run preventive maintenance activities
• Conduct ongoing DB tuning for performance improvement
• Review the oncoming deployments and test logs and advise on best practices
• Test and support product updates and hotfixes in QA environment
• Provide Best Practice guidance for developing custom rules, scripts, integrations etc.
• Report and prioritize feature / function requests back to Oracle
